YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND - The Songs & Stories Of Carole King (With A Touch Of James Taylor) - Dinner & Show

EVENT DATE: Saturday, 10 Jul 2021

With the beautiful voice of NIKKI NICHOLLS (Farnham Band) at the helm, the wonderful ADRIAN SCOTT (Air Supply / Little River Band) on the piano, and the incredibly talented STEVE WADE (Little River Band / Mick Pealing) on guitar, this very special acoustic Dinner & Show is probably one of the most requested we have had at arcobar...

Carole King was more than just her own songs. She played for many years with the James Taylor band. She wrote successful songs for The Beatles, The Drifters, Blood Sweat & Tears, Herman’s Hermits and many more.

Aside from Nikki's incredible interpretation of Carole's songs, Steve Wade performs some of James Taylor’s most loved songs. These included ‘How Sweet It Is’, ‘Fire and Rain’, ‘Carolina On My Mind’ and ‘Steamroller Blues’.

Familiar songs like ‘I Feel the Earth Move and ‘Locomotion’ – songs we heard as covers while growing up - were in fact written by Carole King, not just her hits ‘A Natural Women’; ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’; and of course... 'You've Got A Friend'

Throughout the night Nikki provides wonderful insights into the highlights and tragedies of Carole’s personal life and career. It was clear these life events played out a lot through her music.

This very special Dinner & Show event showcases one of the best line-ups in Melbourne, and is strictly limited to just 52 people.
